In all honesty, my journey with the Boy Scouts and Pinewood Derby cars was relatively brief, and my initial experience with the race wasn't particularly thrilling. However, as life progressed, I stumbled upon a couple of Pinewood Derby kits, sparking an idea for a fun family project. From that simple notion, organizing an event for my friends and our kids, featuring both Outlaw Pinewood Derby cars and those adhering to the standard rules, emerged as a fantastic opportunity for quality family time and time with friends.

Throughout this journey, I've gleaned valuable insights and knowledge, especially in the realm of crafting Outlaw Derby cars and mastering the nuances of standard Pinewood Derby Rules. The passion grew to such an extent that I invested in my own 42-foot track complete with an electronic gate finish line.
